ABOUT THE BAND
Old 45’s is a four piece rock and roll band forged from a love of the music of the fifties and sixties. Ken Ord and Ray Peterson spent 7 years with the Rockin Bodgies playing rock and roll on the Brisbane club circuit. The boys did regular gigs at Coolangatta’s Wintersun Rock and Roll festival every year. Ray Baxter our bass player was touring with a bass electric guitar the week after they were invented so he’s sort of an old hand at it.
John "E" Rockit brings a lifetime of drumming experience to Old 45s. He loves the music and you will hear that in his playing. Just an exceptional rhythm machine - intuitive and super talented at keeping that dance beat just where you want it to be.
